Marks & Co. Window Treatments ("Marks & Co.", "we", "us") is a family owned window treatment company based in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This policy explains what we collect when you use markswindowtreatments.com, book a consultation, or have us work in your home or building.
When you visit the site we may record your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you viewed, and how you reached us. This comes from cookies and similar technologies and is used to keep the site working and to understand which pages are useful.
If you give us your mobile number we may call or text you about your appointment, your order or your installation. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies. These terms apply to this website and to window treatment work performed by Marks & Co. Window Treatments. A signed order, quote or invoice from us governs if anything in it conflicts with these terms.
We sell, measure and install custom window treatments including blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, motorization, window film, and exterior shades and awnings. We are based in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and normally serve South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland, with larger projects considered further out.
In home consultations are free and carry no obligation. Prices quoted are valid for 30 days unless we state otherwise, and depend on the measurements and conditions found at the time. If site conditions turn out to be different, we will tell you before any extra cost is incurred. Nothing is ordered until you approve a written quote.
Window treatments are manufactured to the measurements of your specific openings. Once an order is placed into production it cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged, and any deposit becomes non refundable, except where a product is defective or where the law provides otherwise. We may ask for a deposit when the order is placed with the balance due on completion.
When we measure, we take responsibility for those measurements. If you supply your own measurements, or ask us to order to measurements provided by someone else, you are responsible for their accuracy. We ask for clear, safe access to the windows on the installation date and that fragile items near the work area be moved beforehand.
Please give us at least 24 hours notice to reschedule an appointment. If no one is able to give us access on an agreed installation date, we may charge a return visit fee.
Production times are estimates provided by the manufacturer and are not guaranteed. We will keep you informed of delays but are not liable for losses caused by a manufacturer or shipping delay outside our control.
Products carry the warranty of the manufacturer that made them, and we will help you make a claim under it. Our installation workmanship is warranted for one year from the installation date. Warranties do not cover normal wear, sun fading, misuse, accidental damage, alterations by others, or problems caused by building movement or moisture.
Payment is due as set out in your quote or invoice. Title to the product passes to you when paid for in full. Amounts unpaid past their due date may be subject to a late charge to the extent permitted by Pennsylvania law.
Corded window coverings can pose a strangulation hazard to infants and young children. We will discuss cordless and motorized options with you for any home where children or pets are present, and we encourage you to read the cord safety notice supplied with your product.
The text, photography, logo and design on this site belong to Marks & Co. Window Treatments or are used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our written consent. We try to keep product descriptions and availability accurate but cannot guarantee that everything on the site is current or error free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Pennsylvania law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
We may revise these terms. The version shown here, dated above, is the one that applies.

Corded window coverings can pose a serious strangulation hazard to infants and young children. We take this seriously on every job, and we would rather talk you out of a corded product than sell you one that is wrong for your home.
